As a vital mushroom it has a relatively young history. The fungus has only been acknowledged by established science for about 35 years. Since then, however, its ingredients have been the subject of intensive research. The National Cancer Center of Japan examined it scientifically and announced the results in 1980. Also in the USA, several scientific studies on this fungus have been published.
